We’re excited to welcome two to three-year olds into our Tiny Tots Room from September 2025, where we work closely with you and your child to lay the foundations for future skills - from letters and numbers to practising sharing and taking turns.

The Tiny Tots Room is a place where children begin to develop independence. We will encourage your child to participate in activities like putting on their shoes, eating independently, using the bathroom independently and cleaning up after themselves.

We believe that every child is unique and deserving of individualised care and attention. At Thomas Gamuel Primary School and Nursery, we are committed to providing a nurturing and enriching environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.

Our staff provide a nurturing and supportive environment where children can practise sharing, taking turns, and cooperating with their peers. Through guided interactions and positive reinforcement, children learn empathy, self-control, and how to navigate social situations effectively.

We understand that two to three-year-olds are curious and eager to learn about the world around them. Our Curriculum includes activities that promote cognitive development, sorting games, and simple problem-solving activities. By creating a highly stimulating environment that fosters exploration and builds children’s curiosity, children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and make discoveries.

Literacy and numeracy through play

We introduce foundational concepts in literacy and numeracy through play-based activities. Children learn about letters, numbers, colours, and shapes through games, songs, and hands-on experiences, preparing them for future academic success.

Two to three-year-olds are expanding their vocabulary and beginning to express themselves more fluently. Children are encouraged to express their thoughts and feelings, building confidence in their communication skills. Two to three-year olds have vibrant imaginations and love to engage in creative play so we offer a variety of materials and activities to inspire creativity, including art projects, dramatic play, and storytelling.
